No Surprises Act
& Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of the cost of your care. This law is designed to protect you from unexpected medical bills and to give you a clear understanding of what to expect financially.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is an estimate of the expected costs for your therapy services.

For therapy, this typically includes the cost of your scheduled sessions over a period of time (up to 12 months). Because therapy is individualized, the total cost will depend on how often you choose to attend and how long you remain in care.

Your estimate will not include charges that cannot be predicted in advance, such as missed appointment or late cancellation fees.

What to Expect
When you schedule services with Modern Woman Therapy, you will receive:

-
A written Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your services
-
Information about your rights under the No Surprises Act
You will receive your estimate:
-
At least 1 business day before your first scheduled session
-
Or within 3 business days of scheduling, if your appointment is booked at least 10 business days in advance

Because this is a private-pay practice, your session fees are clearly outlined upfront—so you can move forward without worrying about unexpected costs.
Your Rights
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before your services begin.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.
