ONLINE THERAPY FOR WOMEN THROUGHOUT MISSOURI & FLORIDA
You might be wondering...
Yes, I currently have limited availability for new clients seeking online therapy in Missouri and Florida.
I intentionally keep a smaller caseload so I can offer focused, personalized care. Because of that, availability can change and some appointment times (especially evenings) may fill quickly.
If you're a woman looking for online therapy for anxiety, overwhelm, or life transitions, you can view current openings and schedule directly through the online scheduling calendar.(https://www.annherman.com/request/service) (https://www.annherman.com/request/service)If you don't see a time that works, feel free to reach out and I'll do my best to help.
Getting started is simple. If you're located in Missouri or Florida and interested in online therapy, you can book your first session directly through the online scheduling calendar.(https://www.annherman.com/request/service) Once your appointment is booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email along with a few intake forms to complete before our first session.
If you’d prefer to talk briefly before scheduling, you’re welcome to book a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.(https://www.annherman.com/request/service) It’s a chance to ask questions and see if working together feels like the right fit.
Online therapy (sometimes called virtual therapy or telehealth therapy) is simple and designed to fit into your day. We meet by secure video through a HIPAA-compliant platform, and you'll receive a private link before each session -- no special equipment or software required.
At your scheduled time, you'll join from wherever you feel most comfortable and have privacy, whether that's at home, at work, or another quiet space.
Many people find virtual sessions just as effective as in-person therapy, with the added benefit of flexibility and convenience.
Yes. Research has consistently shown that telehealth therapy (also called online or virtual therapy) can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many of the concerns people seek help for.
In fact, many women that I work with find that meeting from the comfort of their own space helps them feel more relaxed and open during sessions.
Sessions are $150 for a 50-minute session and $240 for an 80-minute extended session.
As a private pay practice, I don't work directly with insurance. This allows for more flexibility, privacy, and a more personalized approach to your care. You can learn more about why I’ve chosen this approach on the Fees & Investment (https://www.modernwomantherapystl.com/investment)page.
If you've been on the fence about starting therapy, you might even feel like it's an unnecessary splurge -- after all, you've been holding it together pretty damn good on your own, right? Ahem, I see you, Superwoman. ♥
Listen up. You. Deserve. This. Therapy is an investment in yourself with a return that's absolutely priceless.
No, my practice is private pay only.
Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to cover therapy sessions, and not everyone who seeks therapy needs or wants a diagnosis attached to their medical record. Working outside of insurance also allows us to focus fully on your goals without limitations placed on our work together.
I don’t submit claims or provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Insurance companies typically require a diagnosis and may request access to therapy records when processing claims.
My practice is designed to remain fully private and independent of insurance companies so that our work together stays focused on you.
Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and create meaningful change. As things begin to feel more manageable, we can adjust the frequency to every other week or as needed.
We'll decide together what makes the most sense for you based on your goals, your schedule, and what you're navigating right now. The process is flexible and designed to fit into your real life -- not add more stress to it.
Sessions are either 50 minutes or 80 minutes, depending on your preference and what feels most helpful.
Most clients start with 50-minute sessions, while 80-minute sessions offer more time to go deeper without feeling rushed. We can decide together what works best for you and adjust as needed.
All sessions are held virtually, making it easy to access therapy from wherever you are in Missouri or Florida.
I provide online therapy for women across Missouri and Florida.
Because I'm licensed in Missouri and registered to provide telehealth services in Florida, you must be physically located in either state at the time of each session.
Many of my clients live in the St. Louis or Kansas City areas, while others are located throughout Missouri or Florida -- including places like Miami, Tampa, and Orlando -- and appreciate being able to access therapy from the comfort of their own space.
If you travel occasionally, that's usually fine -- as long as you're located in Missouri or Florida during our sessions. If you're unsure about your specific situation, feel free to reach out and I'm happy to help.
It's easy to think you've got it all under control because that's exactly how the world sees you. You're used to figuring things out on your own, pushing through, and being the one others rely on.
Therapy isn't about whether you can handle things -- it's about whether you want to keep doing it all by yourself. It's about giving yourself permission to take off the cape, if even just for a little while.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, or like something just isn't quite right anymore, therapy gives you space to slow down, sort through what's going on, and make changes that actually feel sustainable.
